Procurement Rising Star of the Year

This award recognises the individual (aged 30 or under on January 1st, 2024) who has made a significant contribution to their respective team over the past 12 months. As a future procurement leader, the ‘Rising Star’ will have demonstrated procurement excellence which differentiates them from their peer group.

Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a clear plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying attention to the criteria listed below.

• Procurement Excellence: Demonstrate an outstanding performance in procurement practices, including strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
• Innovation: Outline how you introduce innovative ideas or approaches that lead to cost savings, process improvements, or increased efficiency within the procurement function.
• Leadership: Provide an outline how you displayed a strong leadership quality such as integrity, collaboration, and the ability to motivate others, indicating potential to become a future leader in procurement.
• Adaptability: Demonstrate how you adapt quickly to changing business environments, demonstrating flexibility and resilience in overcoming challenges within the procurement field
• Team Contribution: Provide an outline of a how you contributed significantly to the success of the procurement team, showing a willingness to collaborate and support team members to achieve common goals.
• Supporting facts & statements: Include any other facts or statements that you feel are relevant to support your entry.
