This award recognises an outstanding Chief Procurement Officer (or equivalent senior procurement leader) who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and impact within their organisation and the wider procurement profession over the past 12 months. The individual will be viewed as a role model by peers, driving procurement excellence and delivering measurable business value.

  • Strategic Leadership: Demonstrate how the nominee has provided exceptional leadership in shaping and delivering the organisation’s procurement strategy, aligning it with broader business goals and influencing at executive level.
  • Transformation & Innovation: Provide examples of how the nominee has led transformation or introduced innovative approaches within procurement. This may include digital transformation, operating model changes, or the adoption of new technologies, processes, or ways of working.
  • Business Impact & Value Delivery: Highlight the measurable impact delivered under their leadership, such as cost optimisation, value creation, risk management, supplier performance, or contribution to revenue growth and organisational success.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Influence: Demonstrate how the nominee has built strong relationships across the organisation and with external partners, influencing key stakeholders and elevating the role of procurement.
  • Team Leadership & Capability Development: Provide evidence of how the nominee has developed and empowered their procurement team, fostering a high-performance culture, building capability, and supporting talent development.
  • Sustainability & Ethical Leadership: Outline the nominee’s contribution to advancing sustainable, ethical, and responsible procurement practices within the organisation and supply chain.
  • Supporting Facts & Statements: Include any additional evidence, testimonials, achievements, or industry recognition that support the entry and demonstrate the nominee’s impact and leadership.
