This award recognises an outstanding procurement project or initiative that has successfully delivered significant carbon reduction and environmental impact over the past 12 months. It celebrates organisations that have embedded sustainability into procurement practices and can clearly demonstrate measurable results.
- Organisation Background: Please provide a brief background of the organisation, including size, sector, and procurement function, as well as any relevant sustainability or environmental commitments.
- Project Background: Please outline the procurement project or initiative, including its objectives, scope, and the environmental or carbon reduction goals it aimed to achieve. Include key stakeholders, budget (if applicable), and timeline.
- Strategy & Implementation: Describe the approach taken to deliver the project, including procurement strategies, supplier engagement, and any frameworks or standards applied (e.g. sustainable sourcing policies, carbon measurement tools). Highlight how sustainability was embedded into decision-making.
- Innovation: Provide details of any innovative methods, technologies, or approaches used to reduce carbon emissions. This may include new sourcing strategies, supplier collaboration, use of data, or alternative materials/services that contributed to environmental impact. 15
- Outcomes & Environmental Impact: Summarise the measurable results of the project, particularly in relation to carbon reduction. Include metrics such as emissions saved, efficiency improvements, waste reduction, or broader environmental benefits, as well as any business or stakeholder value created.
- Legacy & Future Impact: Demonstrate how the project has created long-term or scalable impact, including changes to procurement practices, supplier behaviours, or organisational sustainability goals. 15
- Supporting Facts & Statements: Include any additional evidence, certifications, benchmarks, or testimonials that support the entry and demonstrate the success and credibility of the project.
