Eavan O Halloran: Procurement Leader 2018

We are thrilled to announce that Eavan O Halloran will receive the Procurement Leader 2018 award at this year’s National Procurement Awards, sponsored by Greenville Procurement Partners, in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the procurement profession in Ireland.

The ninth annual National Procurement Awards 2018 gala awards ceremony and dinner will take place on Thursday, November 15th, at the Ballsbridge Hotel, Dublin.

Eavan O Halloran has over 20 years of Procurement experience having held senior global leadership roles from the high tech to Irish semi state to global retail industry.

She is currently the Director of Group Procurement for Primark with responsibility for setting up a procurement team and function and for driving cost optimisation programme for all goods not for resale and capital construction across 11 countries managing a spend in excess of €3bn.

Prior to this, she was Head of Group Procurement in An Post where she led a Procurement Transformation Programme over a six-year period.

She also held the position of Head of European Procurement for Synopsys in the global semiconductor industry and before that was Head of Procurement for BT Ireland and Northern Europe.

She also worked in IBM and ICL/Fujitsu in London on a graduate programme. She is a former Board member of the IIPMM and a member of CIPS UK and has a BA in French and Italian, and a MSc from UCD.

In 2015, she was a judge on the National Procurement Awards and in 2016 was a judge on the eir Elevation Awards.

She is passionate about supporting women in business and is currently involved in a mentoring programme for Women in Business called the Lunchtime Circle.

She has spoken at conferences on the subject of Procurement in Dublin, Belfast, London Amsterdam and Copenhagen and at events hosted by Procurement Leaders, CiPs and ProcureCon, Agenda NI, and Achilles.
