Perry Hopson, Senior Director of Indirect Procurement at Perrigo, joins the judging panel for the National Procurement Awards 2026, bringing a career defined by building geographically diverse, high-performing procurement and supply chain teams across multiple sectors and continents.

Holding an MSc in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from the University of South Wales and membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, Perry combines strong academic grounding with a professional profile built across pharmaceuticals, food, real estate, facilities management, and industrial categories. That cross-sector breadth is relatively rare in senior procurement leadership and gives him a comparative perspective on procurement excellence that few practitioners develop across a single career.

In his current role at Perrigo, Perry leads a team of more than 30 procurement professionals delivering exceptional service and value across the company's global footprint. Managing indirect procurement at that scale and geographic spread requires a command of strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract management, and operational efficiency that extends well beyond category expertise into genuine organisational leadership. It is the kind of procurement management experience that brings real authority to the assessment of submissions at a national awards programme.

What further distinguishes Perry's profile is the depth of his commitment to sustainable procurement and responsible sourcing. He has embedded tools for ensuring certified sustainable sources of raw materials within his teams' operations and delivered ahead of timeline on 100% renewable electricity across a wide manufacturing footprint, outcomes that reflect procurement leadership operating at the intersection of commercial performance and environmental accountability. That commitment has, by his own account, set his teams apart within every organisation he has worked in.

Perhaps most fittingly for a judge at the National Procurement Awards 2026, Perry is himself a two-time member or leader of teams that have received the National Procurement Awards, giving him a unique perspective on what award-winning Irish procurement looks like from the inside.

The National Procurement Awards 2026 gala takes place on 22nd October at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry.
