OPW tops State spending on consultants for committee prep
The Office of Public Works spent over €17,000 on consultants in 2024 to prepare for Oireachtas committee hearings—more than any other State body since 2021. This spend came amid scrutiny over high-profile projects, including the €336,000 Dáil bike shed and a €1.4 million security hut. The consultancy fees were split between RGH Consultancy and Gibney Communications, as the OPW navigated repeated controversies.
