Ireland’s updated National Development Plan (NDP) sets out an ambitious €275.4 billion spend through 2035, including €102.4 billion earmarked for 2026–2030. The plan boosts capital allocations across transport, energy, housing, healthcare, and more—driving demand for up to 80,000 additional construction workers.

A combination of Exchequer and non-Exchequer funding will power delivery, with €24 billion set for public transport and roads, and €36 billion for housing. Strategic reforms like the Planning & Development Act 2024 and a new taskforce aim to accelerate project timelines, underscoring government intent to prioritise infrastructure-led growth.
