HEINEKEN Ireland Honoured for Transformative Procurement Innovation at the National Procurement Awards

HEINEKEN Ireland has been recognised with the Best Procurement Transformation Award at the National Procurement Awards 2024, earning national acclaim for its ambitious and forward-thinking Project Endeavor.

The initiative marks a major leap in how procurement operates within the organisation, and across the wider Irish private sector.

Through the implementation of the Zycus Procure-to-Pay (PTP) system, the establishment of a Procurement Hub, and the integration of Candex for tail spend management, HEINEKEN Ireland has fundamentally redefined its procurement landscape.

The judging panel commended the project’s seamless alignment with HEINEKEN’s broader transformation agenda, noting that it not only achieved digital transformation but also delivered meaningful cultural and user transformation. The system’s rapid adoption with purchase requests being created within just 12 weeks was described as ‘truly remarkable.’

“This initiative stands as a benchmark for excellence in private sector procurement,” said the judges, praising HEINEKEN Ireland’s ability to blend technology, process optimisation, and employee engagement to deliver lasting impact.

Project Endeavor exemplifies how strategic procurement can drive innovation, operational efficiency, and organisational agility, positioning the company for sustained success in an increasingly dynamic business environment.

The National Procurement Awards 2025 Gala will take place on 6 November 2025 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry, celebrating the individuals and teams transforming procurement across Ireland.
