Gary Mander brings strategic expertise as Judging Coordinator for National Procurement Awards 2026

With over 15 years of experience across both public and private sector procurement, Gary Mander, Senior Manager in Procurement Transformation at EY, brings extensive expertise and credibility to the National Procurement Awards 2026 judging panel in his role as Judging Coordinator.

A three-time National Procurement Award winner himself, Gary has built his career on advancing procurement excellence through strategic vision, innovation, and transformational thinking. His academic foundation, an MBS in Strategic Procurement from Dublin City University, complements a hands-on track record in some of Ireland's most significant public procurement initiatives.

Prior to joining EY in June 2022, Gary served as Procurement Manager at Iarnród Éireann for eight years, where he oversaw several major tender processes on behalf of the state. Most notably, he successfully managed the 2021 procurement of a new fleet of DART vehicles in partnership with the National Transport Authority, a landmark project demonstrating his capability to deliver high-profile infrastructure procurement at scale.

At EY, Gary now advises clients on complex procurement processes and transformation projects, helping organisations optimise procurement functions, deliver strategic value, and align procurement strategies with broader business objectives. His consulting practice reflects deep expertise in change management, process innovation, and value realisation across diverse sectors.

His appointment as Judging Coordinator underscores his commitment to promoting best practice, recognising excellence, and elevating procurement standards within Ireland's procurement community.
