Barry McGoldrick brings global procurement leadership as Judge for National Procurement Awards 2026

Barry McGoldrick, VP and Chief Procurement Officer at Molex LLC, joins the judging panel for the National Procurement Awards 2026, bringing more than 30 years of executive-level global experience across IT, sales, logistics, and procurement.

Originally from Sligo, Barry began his academic journey with a certificate in computing from Sligo IT before going on to complete a BSc in Supply Chain Management at the University of Limerick — a foundation that set the course for a career built on operational rigour and cross-functional expertise.

That career has since taken him across the globe. Barry has lived and worked in Ireland, the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore, and Hong Kong, gaining firsthand experience of how procurement strategy must adapt across vastly different markets, regulatory environments, and supply chain structures. Few professionals bring such genuinely international exposure to their understanding of what world-class procurement looks like in practice.

In his current role, Barry serves as VP and Chief Procurement Officer at Molex LLC, based in Chicago, Illinois, where he leads the company's global procurement capability, overseeing spend under management in excess of $5 billion. At that scale, procurement leadership is inseparable from broader business strategy, requiring a command of risk management, supplier relationships, and operational efficiency across an enormous and complex global footprint.

It is this breadth of executive experience, spanning multiple functions, multiple continents, and multiple billions in managed spend, that makes Barry's perspective particularly valuable to the National Procurement Awards judging panel. His ability to evaluate procurement initiatives through the lens of genuine large-scale, multinational operational complexity offers a rigorous and globally informed standard against which entries can be measured.
