Arts Council launches €285,000 procurement for Culture Night marketing services

The Arts Council has issued a €285,000 tender for marketing and communications services for Culture Night 2026, the national cultural celebration highlighting themes of openness, discovery, celebration and belonging. The contract covers strategy development, launch announcement, and content production across social media, print and broadcast channels from June through September 2026.

Gript reported that the successful tenderer will be required to deliver a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy beginning in June, with a launch announcement scheduled for August. The scope includes planning, production and delivery of all content for social channels, print and broadcast throughout August and September.

Culture Night is supported by the Arts Council and described as a national moment celebrating the richness and diversity of culture in Ireland. The initiative aims to connect people to cultural activities locally and nationally whilst opening pathways to ongoing engagement with arts and cultural organisations.

Tender documents indicate that Culture Night 2025 engaged over one million people through in-person events, television and radio programming. Online social media content using the primary hashtag #OneNightForAll generated almost 19 million impressions, representing a 50 per cent increase in online engagement over Culture Night 2024.

The €285,000 procurement value reflects the scale of marketing and communications activity required to promote Culture Night across multiple channels and regions. The contract encompasses creative development, media planning, content creation, digital marketing and campaign execution over a four-month period.

The Arts Council procurement seeks suppliers with proven experience in cultural sector marketing, social media management and integrated campaign delivery. The successful tenderer will work with the Arts Council team and Culture Night stakeholders to coordinate promotional activities and maximise public engagement.
