Best Procurement Social Value Award

This award recognses the procurement team that has made a significant impact on society through their procurement activities, creating positive social value beyond traditional metrics. By prioritising social value, these organisations are not only achieving their business goals but also contributing to the well-being of communities and society at large.

Entry is by a 5-page A4 PDF submission; the judges will be looking for a clear plan and evidence that it is delivering on core objectives, paying attention to the criteria listed below.

• Social Impact Measurement and Reporting: Demonstrate a strong track record of actively sourcing and utilizing diverse suppliers, including minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned, and other underrepresented groups.
• Community Engagement and Empowerment: Provide examples of initiatives or projects that have directly engaged and empowered local communities, fostering economic development, job creation, and social inclusion.
• Support for Marginalised Groups: Highlight efforts to support marginalised groups through procurement, such as partnerships with minority-owned businesses, initiatives to promote fair labor practices, or sourcing from social enterprises.
• Ethical Sourcing and Fair Trade: Showcase commitment to ethical sourcing practices, fair trade principles, and transparent supply chains that ensure fair treatment of workers and adherence to human rights standards.
• Supporting facts & statements: Include any other facts or statements that you feel are relevant to support your entry.
